Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy

What certifications should a hyperbaric chamber have?

Before you invest in a hyperbaric chamber, you need to know which certifications actually matter. We help you understand the difference between genuine safety requirements and misleading sales arguments.

Short answer: A hyperbaric chamber should be certified by EU-recognized Notified Bodies registered in the NANDO database (TÜV Austria, TÜV Rheinland, CEPROM). It must comply with ISO 13485 for medical devices and carry CE marking under the Machinery Directive, LVD, and EMC. Certificates from unknown consulting firms or those covering only test cylinders before installation are not reliable.
