Buying Guide: How to Choose the Right Hyperbaric Chamber

A step-by-step guide to help you make the right decision when purchasing a hyperbaric oxygen chamber.

1

Define your purpose

Are you buying for a clinic, wellness center, sports facility, or home use? The use case determines which type and size of chamber is right for you. Higher volume businesses typically benefit from multiplace chambers, while clinics with limited space do well with monoplace models.

2

Assess your space and electrical capacity

Monoplace chambers need approximately 2.5 x 1.7 meters. Multiplace models require 3-7 meters in length. Electrical: monoplace models need 230V/16A (standard outlet). Multiplace has higher requirements. The room should be ventilated and temperature-controlled.

Tip: Take photos of your available space and share them with us. We can help assess whether the room is suitable.
3

Estimate your expected volume

How many treatments do you plan to offer per day? A monoplace chamber can handle 8-10 sessions/day. A multiplace C2 (2 persons) effectively doubles your capacity. Use our ROI calculator to see how volume affects profitability.

4

Choose between monoplace and multiplace

Monoplace (I80, I90): Lower investment, compact, easy to install. Ideal for clinics with 1-10 treatments per day. Multiplace (C1-C4): Higher capacity, walk-in design, can treat groups. Better for high-volume facilities. See our detailed comparison.

5

Consider total cost of ownership

Beyond the chamber price, consider: installation costs, staff training, energy consumption (A+++ = very low), maintenance, and insurance. When buying through Nordic Welltech, delivery, installation, and training are included in the price.

Important: Importing directly from a non-EU manufacturer may seem cheaper but comes with risks: regulatory uncertainty, no local service, and potential issues with CE marking.
