Clinical HBOT is a regulated medical device and requires physician supervision in most jurisdictions. Typical requirements are oversight by a physician trained in hyperbaric medicine, a facility built to the applicable fire and pressure vessel standards, CE marked equipment, documented staff training and patient record keeping. Our chambers carry CE marking under the Medical Device Directive 93 42 EEC, together with ASME PVHO and PED documentation. Rules differ between countries, so verify what applies where you operate. We supply the certificates and technical file your authority will ask for.

Space requirements come from the manufacturer specification for each model. Zeugma needs a minimum floor area of 5500 by 2800 mm. Atlantis needs 4400 by 3000 mm. Mediterranean and Giza need 6000 by 3500 mm. Titan needs a chamber room of 13000 by 6000 mm plus a technical room of 9000 by 6200 mm. All chambers are modular and pass through a standard doorway, so a narrow entrance is not a blocker. Plan for the plant load as well: roughly 6 kW for a single seat Zeugma installation and roughly 13 kW for a four seat chamber, covering the 4 HP compressor, one 2500 W oxygen concentrator per seat and the air cooler. Oxygen is produced on site by the concentrator, so no gas cylinder infrastructure is required. Add a changing and recovery area for patients.

Support after installation covers initial staff training on operation and safety routines, scheduled maintenance including filter changes and pressure checks, technical support in Swedish and English, spare parts through the manufacturer, and refresher training when you take on new staff. Response times and the maintenance interval are set out in the service agreement that comes with your quotation.

Reimbursement rules are national, so check what applies in your own country before you build a business case on them. Where a scheme does reimburse HBOT, it normally requires a documented diagnosis on the approved indication list, a physician order and treatment protocol, prior authorisation, correct procedure coding and full session records. In Sweden clinical HBOT is delivered inside the public healthcare system, and private wellness HBOT is self pay.
